Thirst does not wait for a good place to stop.

Hydration falls as time passes and work resolves. Travel, searching, and waiting all matter more when water is already low.

Search near wet ground and keep containers filled when you can. A known water place is part of any longer route, even when the route points somewhere else.

Do not let distance decide this for you.
