Travel is chosen before it is spent.

Use PF to trace nearby ground from where you stand. The preview shows whether a place can be reached and what the route will ask from the body.

A short line is not always a cheap one. Wet ground, slope, and distance can turn a few steps into a longer cost.

Commit only when the path is worth the time.
